About Elise McVeigh Life Camp

Mrs.McVeigh's Manners, a division of Elise McVeigh's Life Camp was established in 2003, and is headquartered in Dallas, Texas. Mrs. McVeigh’s Manners takes a unique approach to teaching young children and university aged students manners. We teach it in a fun and effective way, where kids retain the information, using an original curriculum that is interactive and has fun characters. We also give seminars to parents on how to teach manners to their children.

Elise McVeigh, Founder

Elise McVeigh’s background is multi-faceted. A mass communication major at Texas Wesleyan University in Fort Worth, Texas, she started her professional career as the managing editor of a Fort Worth newspaper, The Texas Times. She then worked as a copyeditor for Practitioners Publishing Company. While working, Elise found a passion for volunteer work, and went into the non-profit field as a fundraiser. McVeigh spent most of her non-profit career with the American Cancer Society, and then worked for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, and left after having her first son. After son number three, McVeigh pursued her passion as a speaker, and found Elise McVeigh’s Life Camp. Elise has also returned to newspaper writing, as a weekly guest columnist for The Dallas Morning News Neighborsgo, where thousands read her advice on manners and getting organized.

Jennifer Wright, Director of Mrs. McVeigh's Manners, and summer camp and after-school Instructor

Jennifer Wright has taught for seven years at Marion Elementary, in the Allen IDS. Wright taught two years of Kindergarten, and she is currently on her fifth year of teaching second grade. Wright resides in the Dallas area.

Ceslyn Mathis, Children's Manners Class Instructor

Ceslyn Mathis is a graduate of Texas Wesleyan University, with a BS Degree in Elementary Education. She has taught second and third grade in the Eagle Mountain-Saginaw ISD for 18 years. Her extra-curricular organizations include the Woman’s Club of Fort Worth and Gamma Phi Beta Sorority Alumnae.

Anne graduated from Drake University in 1995 with a Business and Marketing degree. Since then she has found a passion for working for small businesses in Marketing and Business Development. Her first job was with a small industrial company in MN and she started their marketing department. She has been a Regional Marketing Manager for Student Advantage, and Surge (a division on Draft Worldwide) with clients like New Balance and AT&T and RJ Reynolds. She managed their regional offices and oversaw the execution their clients experiential marketing programs. In 2003 she bought a Curves for Women ® franchise. She owned and operated the most successful location in Chicago with over 450 members.

She met her husband in 2003 and later moved with him to Mexico City. During that time she attended the Ibero Americano University and became fluent in Spanish. In 2005 they moved to Dallas. They have two children, Alejo (5) and Isabella (3). Anne loves being an active mother and watching them grow and learn. Having good manners was important to her mother while growing up and is something she is constantly working on with her kids as well. Her philosophy is, it is great being and kid and having fun but you can do that while having good manners.

Corporate and Non-Profit Clients
Our corporate and non-profit clients have included Nordstrom, Gardere Wynne law firm, RAM Home Builders, D&B Development, The American Cancer Society, Center for Nonprofit Management, and leadership from Pfizer Pharmaceuticals, and Cisco Systems.

Higher Education Clients
Our higher education clients have included Southern Methodist University; Sigma Phi Epsilon fraternity at Texas Tech University, Texas Christian University, and North Texas University; Texas Tech University Zeta Tau Alpha sorority, and Eastfield College.

Preschool Clients
Our preschool clients have included classes at or children from Meadowbrook School, Northway Christian Church Preschool, Bethel Lutheran Preschool, Oakhill Academy, The Kessler School, Church of the Incarnation Preschool, University Park Methodist Church, and St. Michaels Episcopal Church Mother’s Day Out.

Mom Organizations
These groups have included Preston Hollow Early Childhood PTA, Park Cities Baptist Church MOPS, Church of the Incarnation parenting class, University Park Preschool Association, Armstrong-Bradfield Preschool Association, Hyer Preschool Assoication, Hockaday parents’ group, Cistercian parents’ group, and the St. Rita’s Mother/Daughter group.
